Cinemagoers left red-faced after TikToker reveals what staff can see during films

Cinemagoers have been left red-faced and in hysterics after a viral TikTok by a staff member revealed what goes on behind the scenes.

For many of us, one of the first things we do before heading to the cinema is buy our own food because as we all know - cinema food ain't cheap.

But food aside, something else that happens in the cinema is something staff don't want to see but quite often do - and this is where many people have been left mortified.

Taking to the viral video platform, the 17-year-old TikTok user, @.no1headache, who works at the Vue cinemas said: "When people come to the cinema with their sneaky link to do the nasty" as she zoomed into the CCTV footage on the screen.

She captioned the video: "We see everything" and later went on to explain in the comments that the Vue staff members also have "night vision goggles so we've seen it all" followed by a crying emoji.

The video has since racked up almost 20 million views, three million likes and 70,000 comments.

In the comments, one user explained: "They're for anti-piracy. Theatre hire guards for pre-screening to make sure they don't film. They probably use them for internal use too."

With viewers left stunned after the staff member admitted she's constantly having to look away from the CCTV screen because of some couple's outrageous behaviour, many themselves admitted they had no idea staff could see them.

One wrote: "I don't care about that. I'm just concerned because I've been throwing popcorn at the back of people's heads for fun."

Another added: “You're telling me the time I snuck in a large pizza they've been watching me eat???”

A third replied: "Well this is news to me" with a fourth joking "as long as you don't catch me sneaking into another movie we're good."

One user however thought it was useful stating: "This is actually good to know in case of emergencies. I honestly had no idea, I thought you could get away with murder in there lol."

Did you know this or are you not too bothered about their CCTV and night vision goggles?
