Cinema in the Square to return to Newcastle with Titanic, Bridesmaids, Dirty Dancing and more

It proved really popular over Christmas and Cinema in the Square will soon be back in Newcastle with eve more smash hit films on the lineup.

In December, the pop-up cinema complex took over Times Square in the city centre with fire pits, bar trucks, street food and a whole host festive favourites including Love Actually, Elf and Home Alone on the screen. And next month it will be back with an even bigger list of films to enjoy al fresco style.

Rather aptly, the cinema will make its big return on Valentine's Day - Friday, February 14 - with the first film on the lineup being Mamma Mia 2: Here We Go Again. The Valentine's Day film action will then continue with LaLa Land and Dirty Dancing and there are plenty of other classic movies and big new releases ready to entertain over the course of Cinema in the Square's 10 day stint.

Other ones to look forward to include the live action remakes of both The Lion King, Aladdin and Lady in the Tramp; hilarious comedy Bridesmaids, Oscar winning tearjerker Titanic and two of 2019's biggest films - Joker and Rocketman.

The latter is a singalong screening and there will also be singalongs of Grease, Dirty Dancing, Beauty & the Beast and The Greatest Showman.

Tickets for Cinema in the Square are on sale now online HERE with four ticket options: bench seating - £6.50, sofa seating - £9.50, firepit seat - £12 and private viewing pod - £100 for two people.

As well as the huge LED screen, Cinema in the Square will be home to a massive 20ft Container bar, Cocktail, Gin & Spirit Horsebox Bars and Handmade Pizzas, Toastie Bar and other classic street food.

Arriving right on cue for half term, there will also  be FREE kids showings every single day. Grab tickets to see Ice Age, Pirates of the Caribbean 5, Toy Story 4, The Incredibles 2 and many more for just the booking fee.
