Cincinnati Reds Manager Bryan Price ejected before start of game

May 23--Perhaps Cincinnati Reds Manager Bryan Price should try to wait until the game actually starts before getting mad at the umpires.

Price was ejected before the start of Saturday's game between the Reds and the host Cleveland Indians after getting into an argument with one of the umpires.

Shortly after going out to home plate to exchange lineup cards, Price began to argue with umpire crew chief Jim Reynolds. It's unclear what they were talking about, but Price reportedly was upset with a number of calls made by home plate umpire Manny Gonzalez during the Reds' 7-3 loss Friday to the Indians.

After arguing for a short time, Reynolds ejected Price, who continued to talk to umpires for a couple minutes before the players eventually took the field.

This isn't the first time Price has made headlines for his temper. Last month, he gave baseball its first good managerial tirade of the season, dropping a slew of expletives as he questioned why reporters were asking about player movements on his team.

Cincinnati Enquirer reporter C. Trent Rosecrans wrote that Price dropped 77 F-bombs and used a vulgar word for feces 11 times in a 5-minute, 34-second outburst.

Price later apologized for his choice of words but stood behind the message he was trying to convey to reporters.
