Cincinnati brilliantly trolls UCF after upset with Disney joke

Cincinnati upset No. 18/19 UCF on Friday night at home, 27-24, but the Bearcats’ Twitter account ended the night with a similarly huge win, masterfully trolling the Knights.

UCF had a slight 16-13 lead late in the third quarter until quarterback Dillon Gabriel threw his second of three total interceptions, which was returned for a pick six, handing Cincinnati a lead it would never relinquish.

The Knights’ incredible 27-game regular-season win streak ended a couple weeks ago thanks to Pitt, but the Bearcats snapped a couple other streaks with Friday’s win.

Excluding conference title games, UCF had its 17-game conference win streak broken, which was the longest in the FBS, per ESPN Stats and Info. The Knights had also scored at least 30 points in 31 consecutive games, which was the longest streak of any major college team since 1936, and that obviously ended too.

After Cincinnati’s upset, it tweeted this video:

There is so much to unpack here in this amazing troll job. First, the caption: Surely Knights fans who come across this tweet will be mad about being referred to as Central Florida and not UCF.

Then there’s the Disney joke. Cincinnati spoofed the intro to all Disney movies — you definitely know which one that plays When You Wish Upon a Star with fireworks and a shot of Cinderella’s castle — surely for a number of reasons. UCF is located in Orlando, which is also where the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort is. The castle is an unmistakable icon.

But then also remember that when the Knights declared themselves the real national champions after their perfect 13-0 2017 season — when they were also ignored by the College Football Playoff committee — they had a parade at Disney to celebrate their season.

And then the closing line of Cincinnati’s trolling, which read, “You hate to see it” in Disney’s classic font.

It also tweeted this not long after:

Well done, Bearcats. Well done.
