For Cincinnati Bengals fans, the path to the 2020 NFL draft has been an exhausting one.
The usual process is tiring and drawn out. But this year has been especially tough after a two-win season despite the arrival of a new head coach.
And while hometown kid Joe Burrow figures to come home via the No. 1 pick, the national narratives ran rampant and sometimes made what should have been an enjoyable process a stressful one.
