Cincinnati Bengals AJ Green returns to practice

The Cincinnati Bengals have already ruled out wide receiver A.J. Green ahead of their week six match-up with the Baltimore Ravens. Green is recovering from ankle surgery he got over the summer. The former Georgia Bulldog was initially ruled out six to eight weeks, but his recovery has taken much longer. Today, Green will be limited in practice:

The 0-5 Bengals sorely miss A.J. Green. Green is in a contract year and has a questionable future with the team and has been mentioned in trade talks. Green would be an excellent fit for the New England Patriots. The Bengals have had their playoff hopes all but eliminated to begin the season. Cincinnati doesn’t have a bye week until the first week of November, but now Green will look to return sooner than that. Green’s next chance to play will be next Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

A.J. Green was initially not expected to practice in any capacity week. This is much needed good news for Bengals fans. The UGA product is one of their most important players.
