TEAM NEEDS

Linebacker
During the offseason, the Bengals moved on from Vontaze Burfict via free agency and now have the uninspiring starting lineup of Nick Vigil, Preston Brown, and Jordan Evans. This position has been neglected for too long.
Offensive Tackle
Signing Bobby Hart to a big free agent contract this offseason just isn’t going to cut it. Right tackle is still a glaring hole on the offensive line and new head coach Zac Taylor knows the importance of a strong and consistent offensive line. Taking this thought a step further, I would not be shocked if the Bengals still invested in a starting offensive tackle with their first-round pick. If a player like Jonah Williams, from Alabama, is selected the Bengals could start him off at guard.
Quarterback
The Bengals have already come out and said they won’t be extending Andy Dalton during the 2019 offseason (via BengalsWire) and by all accounts will allow Zac Taylor to handpick “his guy”. So, whether it is now or later, the Bengals will likely be in the quarterback market. It should not be a surprise if the Bengals opt to move on from Andy Dalton at some point during the 2019 NFL Draft or if a serious injury happens to a starter during the summer. Dwayne Haskins of Ohio State could be the second quarterback off the board to the Bengals.
Pass-Catcher
AJ Green is a free agent after the season, Tyler Boyd isn’t an alpha wide receiver, and both John Ross and Tyler Eifert can’t stay healthy. At this point, Joe Mixon is the best offensive weapon on the team and he hasn’t been able to play a full 16-game schedule in his first two seasons in the league.
TOP TARGETS

Joe Giles-Harris | LB | Duke
One of the best all-around linebackers in the draft and could be a true value for the Bengals outside the first round. JGH has excellent athleticism and is one of the best closers in this class. He may not have the sizzle of either Devin White or Devin Bush, but he does provide the skills to pay the bills from day one.
Parris Campbell | WR | Ohio State
The Sean McVay offense was predicated on motion and used plays like jet sweeps and bubble screens often. These are two areas where Campbell excels at and will allow Taylor to implement his offense quickly. It doesn’t hurt Campbell to be a home town kid and someone the fan base can get behind easily.
Yodny Cajuste | OT | West Virginia
There was a point in the pre-draft process when Cajuste was considered a first round pick. Since that time his stock has cooled and seems to be settling into early Day 2. If the Bengals pass on an early offensive lineman in the first round they could be looking for a high ceiling player. Cajuste has the athleticism and size to play tackle. At the end of the day, power is the name of Cajuste’s game. He has a stout base and has excellent contact absorption. Cajuste should not be considered an interior lineman unless it’s his last resort.
Jace Sternberger | TE | Texas A&M
Sternberger will be labeled a “receiving specialist”, but that would severely undersell his game. Sternberger has functional play strength, solid punch at the point of attack, and held up well in the SEC. Where Sternberger does shine is in the receiving game. He is truly a YAC king and could be an immediate contributor to an offense needing playmakers.
