Cincinnati Bengals 1st-round big board for 2019 NFL draft

The Cincinnati Bengals have one of the more unpredictable big boards heading into the 2019 NFL draft.

Not only are there needs across the roster, but the front office has also been an unexpected mix of direct need and best player available in the opening round over the years. Adding to the complexity is whether Duke Tobin has more sway or not with Marvin Lewis gone and Zac Taylor in at head coach.

Below, let’s outline a hypothetical draft board to follow along with based on team needs, tendencies and the value of the current prospect stock market.

Tier 1 A (unlikely to be available)

  1. DL Quinnen Williams, Alabama
  2. EDGE Nick Bosa, Ohio State
  3. QB Kyler Murray, Oklahoma
  4. DL Ed Oliver, Houston

Tier 1 B

  1. LB Devin White
  2. LB Devin Bush, Michigan
  3. OT Andre Dillard, Washington State
  4. QB Dwayne Haskins, Ohio State
  5. OL Jonah Williams, Alabama
  6. EDGE Josh Allen, Kentucky
  7. TE T.J. Hockenson, Iowa
  8. EDGE Brian Burns, Florida State
  9. OT Jawaan Taylor, Florida
  10. OL Cody Ford, Oklahoma
  11. DL Rashan Gary, Michigan
  12. TE Noah Fant, Iowa

Tier 2 (trade back)

  1. EDGE Clelin Ferrell, Clemson
  2. CB Greedy Williams, LSU
  3. OL Dalton Risner, Kansas State
  4. DL Christian Wilkins, Clemson
  5. OT Tytus Howard, Alabama State
  6. Edge Montez Sweat, Mississippi State
