His side take on Korona Kielce tomorrow, with the suspension on football in Poland lifted this weekend.

A number of Irish footballers are getting back to action this weekend as sport starts to make a comeback around Europe.

Ireland Women's duo Amber Barrett and Diane Caldwell were in Bundesliga action this weekend.

Former League of Ireland midfielder Eric Molloy is also based in Poland and could feature on Tuesday as his second-tier club Stomil Olsztyn return to action.

31-year-old Sheridan a reputation for his sharp wit on social media and has kept up his sense of humour during football's postponement.

Watching the return of the Bundesliga two weeks ago, he quipped: "One of the Schalke players needs to go to the ref and tell him “Ref I’m a bit out of breath here, could be a symptom. Now I’m not saying call it off, but the ball’s in your court."

Whether he will try that trick himself tomorrow remains to be seen.
