Pray for sunshine, because it's The Pitt cider festival in Edinburgh tomorrow

The recent heatwave is starting to disappear in a showery haze, but if you want to recapture the heady thrill of drinking outdoors the good news is that there's an upcoming event this weekend where you'll be able to do just that.

The Pitt Street Food market near the Royal Mile, which hosted a cheese festival earlier in the month, is holding a cider festival on Saturday 27 April.

There will be plenty of delicious ciders to try alongside the usual street food stalls.

On keg there will be ciders from Oliver's, Ross on Wye, Dunkerton's Hallets, Hoxton and others.

The Pitt say: "Featuring some of the best cider producers in the UK all in one place, including kegs never before seen in Scotland, a dedicated bag-in-box bar, bottle pours and off sales!

"Not to be missed for the cider lover."

We hope you enjoy all the appley goodness - and that the weather stays dry.
