Ciaran Dickson makes Celtic B team debut as ex-Rangers kid officially joins Hoops

Former Rangers youth star Ciaran Dickson has crossed the divide in Glasgow by signing for city rivals Celtic.

Dickson appeared this afternoon on Celtic's team sheet for their B team match against Greenock Morton in the SPFL Trust Trophy.

19-year-old Dickson featured in competitive action once for Rangers in a 4-0 League Cup victory against Falkirk last campaign.

He also spent time on loan with Queen of the South in the Scottish Championship last season, making six appearances in total.

The news of his arrival at Parkhead was only confirmed after he was named on the team sheet for Celtic's B side this afternoon.

Dickson made a fast start to life at Celtic Park, scoring a wonderful long range shot in the match on his debut against Morton.

He made an assured start to life in a Hoops jersey as the central midfielder made his mark against the Championship side.

A Scotland under-19 international, Dickson also has experience of playing with Rangers in the UEFA Youth League and scored a goal away from home against Young Boys.

He also was an unused substitute for Rangers in four of their Europa League matches last campaign.

Dickson was on the bench in matches against Benfica, Standard Liege and Lech Poznan.
