Ciaran Dickson in leaked Celtic 'signing' picture as former Rangers kid crosses Glasgow divide

Former Rangers kid Ciaran Dickson has been pictured at Celtic Park ahead of a potential move.

The young midfielder made one appearance for Rangers and was handed a three-year deal in January before being surprisingly released in the summer.

After trial spells at Burnley and Gillingham, the 19-year-old has now been pictured holding up a shirt at Celtic Park in a signing image.

In the leaked photo, the youngster is holding a Celtic shirt with 'Dickson 51' on the back of it and appears set to become the second player to join the Hoops after leaving Rangers in recent seasons.

Fellow midfielder Liam Burt signed a two-year deal after leaving Ibrox in the summer of 2019 but left after a season and is now playing for Bohemians in Republic of Ireland.

Dickson was a surprising exit from Rangers when it was announced in the summer having only signed a long-term contract and he had been highly-rated by Steven Gerrard.

The Ibrox boss handed him his first team debut in the 4-0 win over Falkirk in the Betfred Cup last November.

Speaking after the game, Gerrard said: “I thought young Dickson was terrific. He played with energy, personality and character. He’s the type who will never let me down.

“He’s probably had a similar upbringing to myself in that he knows what it means to represent Rangers and the shirt.”
