In their appeal, police said they are becoming "increasingly concerned" for his welfare and said anyone who has seen Ciaran should contact them on 101.

He was wearing blue jeans, blue trainers, two tone blue and white north face t-shirt and a black baseball cap.

In a statement, the PSNI in West Belfast said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of Ciaran Dempsey. He was last seen at 2:30am this morning in the Broadway area.

"He was wearing blue jeans, blue trainers, two tone blue and white north face t-shirt and a black baseball cap. He is clean shaven and has light brown short hair.

"If you have seen Ciaran please ring 101."
