Ciara Mageean will travel to the Olympics on the back of a season's best time in the 1500m on Friday.
The Portaferry runner clocked a time of 4:02.48 to finish fifth in a world class field at the Diamond League meeting in Monaco.
It ranks as the fourth fastest time of Mageean's career at the distance as she looks to peak in Tokyo.
Mageean already holds the women's national record for both the 800m and the 1500m.
Friday's race was won by Olympic champion Faith Kipyegon whose time of 3:51.07 is the fastest run in the world this year and the fourth fastest in history.
