Cian Coleman becomes Neale Fenn's first Cork City signing of the close season

Cian Coleman is back at Cork City for a second spell but Colm Horgan, Joel Coustrain and Eoghan Stokes have all left.

Midfielder Coleman, 22, has spent the last three seasons at St Pat’s, Limerick and Cobh Ramblers but is Neale Fenn’s first signing of the close season.

A former Rebels U19 captain, Coleman said: “I spent a few years away to try and get first-team football but I’m delighted to be back.”

Rebels boss Fenn said: “Cian is a young player that I’ve admired since my time at Longford, when he played against us for Limerick.

“He’s going to bring energy in midfield, physicality and he’s got quality as well.”

Horgan, Coustrain and Stokes are looking for new clubs while Karl Sheppard joined Shelbourne earlier this week.
