Chynna Rogers' cause of death a mystery after rapper and model dies aged 25

Rapper and model Chynna Rogers' cause of death is a mystery, after she died at the age of 25.

Her family confirmed that the star had died in a statement.

Now a representative of Chynna has told Mirror Online that the cause of death is still unknown.

The Philadelphia-based rapper first made her name in the modelling industry, landing a deal with Ford Models aged 14.

Her rap career took off after she signed with the late A$AP Yams - real name Steven Rodriguez - at a production company.

She soon became part of rap collective A$AP Mob.

Chynna spoke candidly in 2018 about drug addiction to Pitchfork.

A year after she had left rehab, her mum died - but Chynna was determined to not to slip back into drugs.

"My mum would be really tight with me if I used her as an excuse to fall off," she said, "It's just more reason to work and get this s**t done."

She added that at one point, she felt she hadn't faced enough struggles in her life to relate to people and to translate it into music.

"I didn't feel like I deserved to be making a living off talking about my life yet," Chynna continued, "Because I just couldn't relate to enough people.

"It wasn't just the drug-addict thing, but also the behaviours that come with it, all the situations you end up in, and the people you end up around just living that life.

"Now I feel like I've been through enough s***. Now I feel like I can actually talk to y'all about something."

Close pal Gianna Lee led tributes to Chynna, recalling how the rapper and model was "gifted with the pen" and "a real writer."

"I love you man..." Gianna wrote, "You are a legend and I kno you are happy now."
