Church burglaries reported in Grand Crossing

Police are looking for suspects involved in burglaries in Grand Crossing since June 25, 2019.

Three burglaries of churches in Grand Crossing on the South Side have been reported since last month.

In each incident, two people entered a church through front or side windows and took property, according to Chicago police.

The break-ins happened:

  • At 5 p.m. June 25 in the 6400 Block of South Woodlawn Avenue;
  • At 12:37 p.m. June 29 in the 6400 Block of South Kimbark Avenue; and
  • Between 10 p.m. July 3 and 7:30 a.m. July 4 in the 6400 Block of South Woodlawn Avenue.

The suspects are described as two bald men between the ages of 30 and 40, police said.
