Chunkz stuns Sidemen with world-class goal and has fans demanding England call-up

YouTube sensation Chunkz sent fans wild with a stunning long-range strike during Saturday's charity football match between Sideman and a YouTube AllStars team.

Chunkz, alongside his close friend Yung Filly, were two of the standout names on the AllStars team who went head to head with KSI and the other co-founds of the Sidemen group. The sold-out event, which is taking place at Charlton Athletic's stadium, The Valley, is raising funds that will go directly to the Charlton Athletic Community Trust and Young Minds charity and features a host of big names.

But the Sidemen found themselves trailing early in the match after some magic from Chunkz - which even led to some fans claiming the YouTuber should be called up for the World Cup.

The 26-year-old took aim and sent a perfectly measured strike into the top corner past PieFace, who struggled to get anywhere near it. And it went down a treat online, with one fan cheekily urging England boss Gareth Southgate to get the YouTuber on the plane to Qatar in November.

Another tweeted: "Chunkz is the creative midfielder we’re missing", while another posted: "Chunkz pinging these balls like he’s prime Xabi Alonso wtf".

Although the YouTuber took some people by surprise with his long-range stunner, Chunkz does have previous for catching the eye in charity games.

Alongside Yung Filly, Chunkz has starred for England in Soccer Aid matches down the years - and fans were left fuming back in June when Mark Wright prevented him from taking a penalty he won during the latest clash against the World XI, who went on to win the match on penalties.

And he confirmed that he wanted to take the spot-kick during an Instagram video at half-time of the match. He said: "I'm not having this storyline that I didn't want the penalty." Shaking his finger he said: "I wanted it."

Chunkz's spectacular opening strike set the tone for the first half of the match, with the AllStars taking a 4-3 lead into the half-time break courtesy of goals from Chunkz, Yung Filly, Niko and Theo Baker. Vikkstar, Miniminter and TBJZL netted for the Sidemen.
