Christy Fagan could make League of Ireland return this season - with Bray Wanderes linked

Christy Fagan could yet make a League of Ireland return this season.

And that may interest First Division leaders Bray Wanderers who were linked with the striker over the close season.

The St Pat’s favourite hasn’t played since June when he ruptured his patella tendon taking a shot in training.

At the time, Saints described the injury as “horrific” and while Fagan is out of contract, his old club have assisted his rehab following surgery.

The league’s joint top-scorer in 2014, Fagan is due to start running again in the next fortnight.

Professional and personal commitments mean full-time football - providing his recovery stays on track - is unlikely.

As a free agent, Fagan could be snapped up at any stage but it will be a couple of months yet before he is fit enough to contemplate any offers.
