Christopher Jullien sends message to Celtic skipper Scott Brown after horror 'abuse'

Ibrox man of the match Christopher Jullien has told Scott Brown the Celtic family are right behind him.

Brown was the victim of alleged abuse following the win over Rangers in Govan on Sunday.

The Celtic captain, who lost his sister Fiona when she was just 21 years of age, was reportedly taunted about the tragedy by a Rangers fan.

People in the game from both sides of the Glasgow divide and across the footballing community have condemned the alleged incident for which a 15-year-old has now been arrested.

And now Jullien has thrown his weight behind Brown at a media conference.

The £7million summer signing from Toulouse said: "I didn't see the video, but I've heard about it. I don't think it's good behaviour. It's not welcome in every stadium.

"We are with Broony. We are giving Broony all the support he needs but I don't know what else to say. It's just ugly. I don't like that."

Jullien won plaudits over his derby performance. It was a display from the Frenchmen and team-mates the bookies didn’t see coming.

For Jullien, he just can’t get enough.

The 26-year-old said: “We know it is a big win but the season is long. Watching the celebrations with the fans on video gives me goosebumps.

"But in my head each day I can improve and the team can too. We are good, but we can be better.”
