Christopher Jullien sends determined Celtic injury message as Ismaila Soro praises Parkhead 'soldier'

Crocked Celtic defender Christopher Jullien has updated fans on his comeback bid as he continues his rehabilitation from a knee injury.

The French stopper was injured in the club's final match of 2020 at home to Dundee United - when he collided with the post after clearing a goal-bound effort off the line.

That put him out of the derby at Rangers just three days later and it now seems unlikely he'll feature again before the end of the season.

But Jullien, who arrived at Parkhead for £7million in the summer of 2019, is determined to complete his recovery and his latest Instagram post shows it.

In the picture, the former Toulouse man is seen with his leg in a brace while a set of crutches rests in front of him.

Even if he manages to return before the end of this term, there's a chance his side will have little to play for as they remain 18 points behind Rangers in the Scottish Premiership title race.

But he's determined to fight on, with the caption reading: "Against all odds."

And Parkhead team-mate Ismaila Soro can't wait to see his pal back in Neil Lennon's back-line.

The Ivorian commented: "I know that you will come back even more ready and solid than before, strength and courage my soldier."

Jullien also recently overcame a positive diagnosis for Covid-19 during his injury rehab.
