Christopher Jullien reflects on Celtic learning curve as Lyndon Dykes earns Ciro Immobile comparison

Celtic defender Christopher Jullien insists he learned just as much from facing Lyndon Dykes as he did Lazio star Ciro Immobile.

The £7million defender has been an impressive performer in the Europa League this season, with Neil Lennon 's side securing a place in the knockout round with two games to spare.

That included two wins over Italian giants Lazio , including a stunning comeback victory in the Stadio Olimpico, Celtic 's first ever win away to a Serie A side.

It's been quite the turnaround for Jullien after he was ragdolled by Livingston striker Dykes, and the Frenchman believes that experience was just as valuable as tussling with one of the world's deadliest strikers.

He told the Celtic View : "The kind of strikers we face in the Europa League are unbelievable.

"Ciro Immobile at Lazio was on another level and playing against the highest level players only improves us as well.

"When we came up against Lazio we all knew how good Immobile was, whereas some of the opponents we face in the league can surprise you with their quality.

"The Livingston game is the perfect example of how dangerous opponents can be in the league and I feel I can learn just as much from scenarios like that as I can in the European games.

"Every game presents a good opportunity to learn and it doesn't always match up with how great the opponent is."
