Christopher Jullien reaches Celtic recovery milestone as defender shares injury update

Celtic defender Christopher Jullien has taken to Twitter to update fans on his injury progress.

The French centre-back has been out of action since the 3-0 win over Dundee United in September, when he damaged his knee after clearing the ball off the line.

It was initially expected he would be out for 3-4 months, but a recent update from Neil Lennon suggested he is behind schedule, and went back to France for some rehab.

The Celtic manager said earlier this month: "He's out for a long period of time. Maybe six to nine months and he's gone back to do some rehab in France."

Sharing a video on Twitter, though, Jullien revealed he is keeping positive.

The 20-second clip shows Jullien walking unsupported with his left knee in a brace.

The caption reads: "Walking crutches free. Let's keep moving forward. #StayPositive"

Jullien's injury coincided with a major dip in form for Celtic, as they dropped points in each of their next four matches to allow Rangers to pull away in the title race.

He has made 61 appearances in total for Lennon's side so far, scoring ten times, and will be hopeful of getting back out on the pitch sooner rather than later.
