Christopher Jullien provides Celtic injury progress update as defender issues 'positive' message

Defender Christopher Jullien has given Celtic fans an update on his recovery from injury.

The Frenchman has been sitting on the sidelines since the victory over Dundee United in September last year.

The towering centre-back picked up the knock when he damaged his knee after clearing the ball off the line.

It was initially expected he would be out for a three month spell but former boss Neil Lennon suggested could be missing for up to nine months as he travelled to France for rehab.

However, Jullien revealed he is keeping positive while posting a video to Twitter.

The clip shows Jullien walking unsupported with his left knee in a brace and kicking a football.

He also commented: "Every journey begins by a single step. #StayFocus #StayPositive."

Following Jullien's injury Celtic dropped points in each of their next four matches to allow Rangers to pull away in the title race.

The Frenchman is not expected to play again this season but could be ready to return for the start of the 2021-22 campaign.
