Christopher Jullien Celtic injury latest as defender shares progress update

Christopher Jullien has shared an update on how his recovery from injury is progressing.

The Celtic defender is expected to be out for between six and nine months after injuring his knee against Dundee United.

He incurred the injury while clearing the ball off the line in a 3-0 win for the Celts back in December.

It was initially thought he’d only miss three or four months, but Neil Lennon has confirmed that his recovery is behind schedule and the player had returned to France to continue his rehab.

Lennon said: He's out for a long period of time. Maybe six to nine months and he's gone back to do some rehab in France."

However, Jullien took to Twitter to share some good news, informing fans that he was now able to walk without the aid of crutches.

He shared a video of him taking some tentative steps with the caption: "Walking crutches free. Let's keep moving forward. #StayPositive"

The Hoops have not fared well in Jullien’s absence, slipping eighteen points behind Rangers in the title race and becoming extremely vulnerable to conceding goals from set pieces.

Sunday night’s 1-0 defeat to Ross County was just the latest in a series of poor results this season, and leaves Rangers only needing seven points to confirm themselves as Premiership champions.
