Christmas wrapping: Asda eco wrapping solution that is like 'two presents in one'

Concerned about the amount of wrapping paper being used this Christmas? George at Asda has come up with a solution which they say is like "getting two presents in one".

It is also perfect for throwing those present squeezer off the trail as the bundles help disguise the present contents.

The team at the popular supermarket clothing brand shared their latest hack on Instagram.

Fans of the wrapping alterative replied with: "This is cute".

The tip uses tea towels creatively rolled or folded to not only wrap gifts but also disguise the contents.

Showing present wrappers some alternative ways to present their gifts, the idea is to take a new tea-towel and then cleverly roll, tie or fold it to create parcels in cracker shapes and even mini baskets.

Georgeatasda wrote on Instagram: "Who knew tea towels could be so festive? Double tap if you're gonna try@bangonstyle's eco-friendly tea towel hack. It's like getting two presents in one – we're sold."

The post has already received 947 likes with one person commenting: "So less wasteful maybe for some presents not all x"

But not everyone was impressed with the gift wrap idea.

One social media user wrote: "Not very cost effective. I mean 3-5 tea towels will cost £2-£5. With 20+ presents to wrap that's expensive."

While another said: "Nope paper all the way."
