Christmas trees spotted in Glasgow homes before Halloween arrives

Halloween hasn't even arrived and the clocks have only just gone back. Yet, for some, Christmas has already started.

This weekend, some Glaswegians were greeted by the sight of Christmas trees with neighbours all too eager for the festive season to arrive ... and we've not even hit November.

A photo sent to us shows a beautifully bright tree in all its glory lighting up a south side street. And this follows reports of several others all decked out and ready to go across the city.

As of today, it's 60 days until December 25.

And while for many the thought of Christmas won't even have passed their mind, we wouldn't want to dampen the enthusiasm for a bit of early Yuletide cheer after such a miserable year.

It's only a matter of time until the shops load up the festive music.
