A Christmas tree in Merseyside has already been knocked down, just hours after the lights were switched on.
Last night saw the Formby lights switch on, with the town being decorated head-to-toe in festive decorations.
Despite the generous effort from Formby Parish Council, the Christmas tree has already taken a tumble, along with a giant snowman.

One resident in the town, who has asked to remain anonymous, told the ECHO : "Not even a day later and he's [the snowman] taken a tumble. I'd like to think it was a case of too much mulled wine, and not that someone's pushed him over"
Pictures show the snowman leaning against the barrier outside Formby Pool on Brows Lane, with the Christmas tree horizontal on top of a wooden fence on the roundabout of Chapel Lane and Three Turns Lane.
It is currently unclear whether the decorations have been the victim of antisocial behaviour, or whether it was the weather that has caused the town's decorations to topple over.
Bob McCann of Formby Parish Council told the ECHO: "Obviously we are disappointed about the two Christmas structures becoming out of place overnight.
"I am waiting to hear from our contractors whether this was caused by the wind or whether it is a result of anti social behaviour."
