Traffic jams are expected to snake across the UK today on what has been dubbed "frantic Friday".
The RAC estimates around 11.5m separate getaway trips will take place before Christmas Day, with 1.3 million motorists taking to the road.
The A303, which runs past Stonehenge, is expected to be among the worst affected — last Christmas, drivers experienced 13 hours of tailbacks.
