Christmas songs for kids to keep your home festive this year

Christmas 2020 might not be shaping up how we had imagined, but all is not lost.

Although traditional get-togethers of years gone by will be on hold this year, there are still ways to enjoy Christmas safely.

Families of young children might be looking for ways to keep the kids amused and if Christmas presents and games aren't enough, why not get them rocking around the Christmas tree with our family festive playlist.

Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer

A classic whose lyrics are known by almost every child in the land telling the story of Santa's fictional ninth reindeer who lights the way for Santa's sleigh with his luminous nose.

Santa Shark

Just when you thought the Baby Shark obsession was dying down - they come up with a festive take on one the  most popular (and irritating)children's songs ever! On a positive note, the kids will love it!

Here Comes Santa Claus

The perfect Christmas Eve tune to get your little ones excited for the Big Man's impending visit.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Aside from the slightly aggressive tone in this Christmas classic ("You better watch out, You better not cry, You better not pout..."), this song is sure to be a winner with children thanks to its happy beat. Plus, if they really take heed of the lyrics, they'll be sure to be on their best behaviour.

Jingle Bells

Another staple song of any festive play list, Jingle Bells is another kids favourite and an easy one for getting them singing along.

I saw Mummy Kissing Santa Claus

This song has been covered  by everyone from The Jackson 5 to Dolly Parton and The Ronettes and, despite being what should be a somewhat traumatic experience of a child witnessing their mum cheating on their dad with Santa, it somehow managed to be an enormous hit.

Revvin up the Reindeer (Youtube)

Revvin Up the Reindeer

This festive hit was released in 2017 by Brady Rymes and The Band That Could. With its 1950-style, up tempo and saxophone sounds, it is sure to be a winner with your family.

12 days of Christmas

Test your little one's memory with this Crimbo classic. While some of the gifts the true love sends (seven swans a swimming, six geese a laying, etc) might be slightly more eccentric than a Playstation and less useful than an electric toothbrush, the family are sure to have fun learning the lyrics.

Feliz Navidad

This bilingual festive hit is great for getting the party in full swing and a great way for kids to learn new phrases in a different language.

All I want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth

The perfect festive tune for any little ones who have had frequent visits from the tooth fairy recently!
