Christmas number 1: LadBaby breaks record to claim fourth festive win

Nottingham's LadBaby has once again won the race for the Christmas number one spot.

LadBaby, aka Mark Hoyle, has broken a long-held record by becoming the first act ever to score four consecutive Christmas number ones, overtaking the Spice Girls and Beatles.

This time Mark and wife Roxanne, LadBaby mum, teamed up with Ed Sheeran and Elton John on a sausage roll remix of their current festive single, Merry Christmas, renamed Sausage Rolls For Everyone.

Last year, the 34-year-old topped the charts with Don’t Stop Me Eatin’, which followed We Built This City in 2018 and I Love Sausage Rolls 2019.

Money raised from the singles is donated to foodbank charity The Trussell Trust.

With 2021 marking the UK’s 70th Official Christmas number one, the win came against fierce opposition.
