Christmas Number 1

Yes, I know it's a day late, but I've been struck by an annoying lergy. Unfortunately the announcement of the Christmas number one hasn't made me feel any better. Like its predecessor last year, the underwhelming Need for Speed: Underground 2 scooped the title. Of course, when it comes to total sales GTA: San Andreas is likely to triumph, despite only achieving number two in the Christmas countdown. Elsewhere the cracking WW2 shooter Call of Duty and bland film tie-in Incredibles complete the top four. The full list is below, but does the Christmas number one in games actually matter?
