Christmas lights put up at Nottingham's Council House

Christmas preparations are now well underway in Nottingham city centre.

Works have been taking place to put lights up on the Council House, in Old Market Square.

It is now 70 days until the big day - and snowflakes and other festive decorations were spotted going up on Friday, October 15.

Last year, decorations went up at the Council House in mid November.

Last year, the city's Christmas Market was pulled after just one day of trading last year as concerns were raised over social distancing when the city was under Tier 3 Covid restrictions.
