Christmas Jumper Day, which has raised more than £25m since its launch in 2012, gives you a chance to dig out your festive jumpers, come together as a community and raise funds to help children and families in UK and around the world.
Led by Save the Children, which works to support children and families in need all year round, the event is all the more important this year.
With the pandemic impacting the charity’s funds, the organisation hopes that more people will join in the fun this year to not only spread Christmas cheer but also help raise much-needed money.

Here's everything you need to know about the charitable holiday.
What is Christmas Jumper Day?
On this day every year, the charity asks that you find your most outlandish festive jumper for one day, and donate £2 -or £1 for children taking part in school-to their cause.
When is Christmas Jumper Day 2021?
The nationwide event always falls on the second or third Friday in December. This year it takes place on Friday, December 10.
How to take part in Christmas Jumper Day
Taking part in the holiday is easy and fun. All you need to do is come together as a community wearing your flashiest festive jumper jazzed up with jingles bells or sparkles.

Over 21,000 workplaces and 1.2 million workers have already signed up this year to spread joy on the day.
To take part simply make, upcycle, borrow, swap or buy a festive sweater, wear it on Friday, December 10 and donate £2 (or £1 for children) to Save the Children.
Save the Children have said that £2 could help “warm some tummies, save some lives, and change the future. That’s big.”
You can sign up using this form on the charity’s website.
How else can you get involved?
It may not always be possible for people to donate money. But the charity suggests doing various other fun activities to either raise funds or simply get involved and spread the joy.
This includes running a 10k, going for a bike ride or any other exercise in your jumper and getting sponsored for it.
You can also make a commitment to wear your jumper for 11 consecutive days, no matter where you are or what you’re doing.
