Christmas is already here at Selfridges

Famous UK retailer Selfridges has been the first to unveil its Christmas windows worldwide this year.

This year overarching theme is entitled ‘Future Fantasy, a Christmas for Modern Times’ and celebrates  ‘the time of year when people yearn for the magic, wonder and the tradition of togetherness’.

The shop windows will display several Christmas traditional tales with a futuristic twist.

Among the 13 stories, people will be able to gaze at Cinderella, Rapunzel, the Sword in the Stone, and the Princess and the Pea in London, Birmingham, Manchester Exchange Square, Manchester Trafford and online at Selfridges.com.

Selfridges has made sure to make these mini-exhibits as eco-friendly as possible.

More than 85,000 Christmas baubles, mostly reused from existing displays, 40 kg of biodegradable confetti in snow globes across different stores and 13,000 paper decorations hung across the stores’ ceilings were used to create this holiday fantasy.
