Shimmering holiday suds
Visitors to the Tokyo Midtown commercial complex in Minato Ward bask in the Christmas ambiance of trees illuminated by 300,000 LED lights and a swarm of bubbles floating around a large dome-style installation. The 3-meter-high Snow Light Globe, measuring about 4.5 meters in diameter, was set up in the plaza for the Midtown Christmas 2021 event. The soap bubbles, scheduled to appear every 12 minutes, create a magical atmosphere. Although the illumination is scheduled to run from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. through Dec. 25, the bubble presentation is set to end on Dec.12.
