There is less than one month to go until Christmas Day, which means it is now socially acceptable to enjoy festive jingles.
With that in mind, the popular Christmas FM has announced it will return this weekend to spread round-the-clock Christmas cheer.
From midday on Sunday, November 28, people can tune into hear festive music favourites played by a host of familiar voices, who are volunteering their time to spread Christmas cheer and raise money for charity.
Christmas FM wants to ‘Give the Gift of Childhood’ this year by raising over €250,000 for Barnardos.
A spokesperson said: “Barnardos is a fitting charity partner considering it’s been such a difficult 18 months for vulnerable children living in disadvantaged communities
“The funds will provide targeted and intensive support for over 5,000 children most in need – including nutritious food, support with education, and therapeutic services with their trained support teams – because childhood lasts a lifetime.”
2021 marks Christmas FM’s 14th year on air and, since it began broadcasting, has raised over €2.7 million for a range of charities.
