Christmas events coming to Speke Hall including breakfast with Santa

Families can get into the festive spirit with a programme of Christmas events at Speke Hall.

Visitors can explore a house adorned with decorations, enjoy a breakfast with Santa and take a trip around a winter wonderland as the National Trust site hosts a series of events throughout November and December. Guests can also refuel with some seasonal refreshments as the Home Farm restaurant serves up festive treats every day of the week.

Step inside the decorated house and enter a world of magical decorations. Marvel at fresh garlands and twinkling trees as you learn more about Christmases past. The house will be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between November 25 and December 11. Booking is not required and admission is included in the price of a property ticket.

Speke Hall will also be offering families a chance to enjoy a breakfast with Father Christmas in the Home Farm restaurant. Children can post their Christmas list and hear a story read by Santa. The event will be taking place between December 15 and 21 at 9am.

Guests can also enjoy live music, with a series of Christmas carol events. The Great Hall will be the venue for an evening of festive music performed by the Singing Our Socks Off choir on November 30, December 1 and December 2.

On December 10, soprano Jay Britton will be taking to the stage for a special Tudor songbook event, which will see her perform Elizabethan festive songs in full costume. Meanwhile, those looking to enjoy a refreshing winter walk can explore Speke Hall's gardens and woodland as the grounds are transformed into a magical winter wonderland.
