Christmas drive-thru attraction cancelled after mum rages at being cheated
pA Christmas drive-thru attraction has been cancelled after a mum claimed she were left disappointed by what she and her family found./p
p The Christmas experience in Limerick, Ireland, which cost #x20AC;38 (#xA3;28.50) per ticket, was sold as a magical experience for families while abiding by a data-content-type=section-topic data-link-tracking=InArticle|Link href=https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/coronavirus-1coronavirus/a restrictions. /p
p Mum Emma Brewer told a href=https://extra.ie/ rel=Follow target=_selfExtra.ie/a strong/ she felt quot;cheatedquot; by the organisers when she arrived on Saturday night. /p
pShe said: quot;Even the email sounded so magical with different stations like the gingerbread house and Santa#x2019;s workshop. I was expecting something#x2026; I was expecting lights, at least.quot;/p
pShe claimed she was met with five quot;cheapquot; gazebos with no lights or decorations and teenagers dressed as elves./p

pMs Brewer added: quot;In fairness to the people in the tents, it wasn#x2019;t their fault, they were actually good. They could have done it up, they could have had reindeer or even Santa lit up outside or something./p
pquot;Just to be able to get out of the house with the kids and take them for a drive for 10 minutes and see something lit up #x2014; that#x2019;s all that I would have wanted./p
pquot;I really felt cheated, and I#x2019;m not one to complain about these things, but I just felt it was such a scam, and completely false advertising. To take people#x2019;s money for that and think that it#x2019;s okay is awful#x2026; I#x2019;ve never seen anything like it in my life.quot;/p
pIn a statement, Christmas Drive-Thru Limerick said it had to stop the event due to fears the workers were in danger from livid ticket-holders. /p
pIt added: quot;We cancelled this event due to the safety of our actors being compromised./p
pquot; Our excellent actors are worthy of respect and security./p
pquot; The angry and abusive customers, most of whom have yet to even attend the event, have and are still currently barraging them with mindless disrespect and hurtful words./p
p/
pquot; They are also sharing photos of underage actors on social media which we feel should be removed immediately./p
pquot; These are very young actors who worked very hard and donapos;t deserve this backlash.quot;/p
pThe statement went on: quot;A full refund will be given to anyone that has a valid ticket for today and any upcoming dates./p
pquot; This will be done automatically and you will receive an email confirmation from Eventbrite.quot;/p
