Dec. 18--Dining on Christmas Eve is easy, but finding restaurants open on Christmas Day is hard. Here are a few places to consider.
Brasserie by LM. Serving a three-course menu for $35. Options include roasted squash soup, short ribs with spice-roasted apples, chocolate mousse with caramel sauce. 800 S. Michigan Ave., 312-431-1788
Cafe des Architectes. Christmas brunch (a la carte menu) served 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.. Christmas dinner menu, served 2-10 p.m., features three courses with choices in each course. $65, $19 age 11 and younger. 20 E. Chestnut St., 312-324-4063

Trattoria Trullo. Open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Four-course dinner, $36, includes entree choices of roast turkey, prime rib, broiled whitefish and lasagna bolognese. For dessert, flourless chocolate cake or pumpkin-praline tiramisu, 4767 N. Lincoln Ave., 773-506-0093
