Christmas decorators who dress the homes of LFC players and celebrities

The rich and famous don’t decorate their own homes for Christmas - they get a professional to do the job.

This is something Adele Gregson, from Wavertree, knows all too well as the director of The Christmas Decorators Cheshire.

Adele’s clients includes Liverpool FC players such as Trent Alexander Arnold, Mohammed Salah, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and goalkeeper Adrian.

Boxing legend Amir Khan, influencers and Real Housewives of Cheshire stars have also had their decorations done by Adele’s team.

Clients have been known to spend up to £40,000 on decorations, with luxury bauble stacks costing £8,000.

Adele, who studied at St Julie’s, in Woolton, told the ECHO : "I have always absolutely loved Christmas and was considering setting up an interior design Company.

"I then realised that this could be like Christmas Interior design and would give me the flexibility to still work around my two children.

"I decorated my own home first and realised I loved it and had an eye for it.

"Even though it's very intense and stressful at times, I absolutely love it."

With 10 years of experience under her belt, The Christmas Decorators also celebrated what Adele describes as the ‘the best job in the industry’ when asked to decorate the tree at Manger Square in Bethlehem.

Her work portfolio also includes ‘some of the largest shopping centres in Europe’.

As well as LFC players, other celebrity clients over the years have included Sharon Osbourne, Jonathan Ross and Perrie Edwards.

Often clients’ identities won’t even be revealed to Adele and her team who are tasked with transforming their homes.

Adele said: "We’ll get a few bookings every year under ‘mystery client’ and then we genuinely don’t know whose house it is because everything will have been arranged through a concierge, an agent or a PA.

"Others are only too happy to let everyone know that they’re lavishing so much attention on their homes at Christmas."

For 2020, Adele said the most popular colours have been silver, champagne and red. In terms of decorations, toy soldiers and the nutcracker have been common requests.

Some decorations are more ‘extravagant’ with Adele saying in the past she has been asked to source designer accessories instead of traditional Christmas decorations.

She said: "The most extravagant request we were asked this year was to do a Louis Vuitton tree for a client, with Louis Vuitton briefcases and bags.

"We had to get the baubles hand painted in London."
