Christmas Day babies born at Ayrshire Maternity Unit as parents welcome adorable festive arrivals

Ayrshire parents received the greatest gift of all on Christmas Day as they welcomed new arrivals into the world.

The first bundle of joy arrived at Ayrshire Maternity Unit a little more than an hour into the festive day.

Leo Anderson, weighing in at 8lbs 13oz, arrived at 1.01am and is a first child for parents Alannah Anderson, 31, and Christopher Jardine, 32, from Ayr.

Next to arrive was baby girl Mila Cairns who made an appearance at 3.06am and weighed 5lbs 13oz.

The newborn was welcomed by parents Natalie, 37, and Karl Cairns, 36, from Stevenston.

Baby Mila is a sister to Kieran, Summer, Kayla and Jaxon.

Mila Cairns was born at 3.06am and weighed 5lbs 13oz (NHS Ayrshire & Arran)

Cara Matilda Crawley was next to arrive at 4.58am, weighing 8lb 13oz.

The baby girl is a first child for proud Irvine parents Hayley Quinn, 34, and Sean Crawley, 30.

A spokesperson from NHS Ayrshire & Arran said: "Merry Christmas from all at NHS Ayrshire & Arran. Welcome to the world!"
