Christmas cocktail recipes to get you in the festive mood

It's proving difficult to get excited in the run up to Christmas this year.

But with further restrictions keeping us at home, why not try to make some festive cocktails to help you get into the Christmas spirit?

Be has put together some delicious recipes for you to try this festive season.

Ramos Gin Fizz

This cocktail from Good Housekeeping is perfect for gin lovers!

Ingredients

50ml gin

1 egg white

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp lime juice

1 tbsp heavy cream

1 tbsp simple syrup

3 drops orange blossom water

Soda water

Directions

1. In a cocktail shaker (with no ice), shake gin, egg white, lemon and lime juice, heavy cream, simple syrup and orange blossom. 

2. Add ice and shake until cold.

3. Strain into a tall glass and top with a splash of soda water.

Santa's Spritz

This cocktail by Inside the Rustic Kitchen looks super easy to make and can be made in batches.

Ingredients

Prosecco

Rhubarb & Ginger Gin

Cranberry Juice

Tonic Water

Directions

1. First measure out 1 part rhubarb and ginger gin followed by two parts prosecco and 1 part cranberry juice.

2. Stir, then pour into glasses, top each glass with a splash of   tonic water and a rosemary sprig.

Top tips are to add ice to the measuring jug or pitcher to keep the drink cool and to a sweet flavoured gin if you can’t find any rhubarb and ginger gin.

Christmosas

A great idea for Christmas brunch by Delish!

Ingredients

2 Granny Smith apples, chopped

120g whole fresh cranberries

100g green grapes, halved

175g pomegranate seeds

240ml sparkling grape juice

1 bottle champagne, prosecco or cava

Method

1. In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine apples, cranberries, grapes, and pomegranate seeds.

2. Pour over sparkling grape juice and champagne and stir, then serve.

Grinch Drink

This green cocktail by Shugary Sweets serves four.

Ingredients

120ml Peach Schnapps

120ml oz Bacardi

230ml orange juice

120ml 7up or Sprite

120ml Blue Curacao liquor

Cherries and orange slices for garnish, optional

Directions

1. You can make this in individual glasses or make in a pitcher. Add all the ingredients together, stir, and add garnish.

2. If desired, add more lemonade if the drink is too strong.

Christmas Comsos

This twist on a classic cosmopolitan from Good Housekeeping serves four.

Ingredients

250ml vodka

250ml pomegranate-cranberry juice blend

60ml orange liqueur

3 tbsp fresh lime juice

Lime twists

Directions

1. Put the vodka, pomegranate juice, orange liqueur and lime juice in a large liquid measuring cup or pitcher.

2. Add ice and stir for 30 seconds or until cold. Then strain into chilled martini glasses.

3. Garnish with lime twists.
