The Christmas Coca-Cola truck tour of Ireland has been cancelled for the first time in 10 years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The big red truck is popular with families who bring their kids out to greet its tour during the festive season.
The truck is bedecked with Christmas lights and ordinarily visits around towns and cities around Ireland.
Coca Cola Ireland posted on Twitter: "Due to current restrictions around the country, our Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour won’t go ahead this year. We know it's disappointing, but we’ll continue to share special Christmas moments throughout the festive season.
"We look forward to seeing you next year."
Huge crowds enjoying the season's festive cheer travel to the closest truck locations to grab a free bottle of coca-cola and a picture every Christmas.
Coca-Cola announced that it will not be travelling across the country this year due to the current coronavirus restrictions.
It is the first time the tour has been cancelled since it first began touring ten years ago.
It traditionally begins its tour every November.
However Ireland is currently under its second national Covid-19 lockdown, which is expected to last for six weeks until the beginning of December.
Irish people expressed their disappointment that it wasn't coming.
Amanda Walsh said: "That is a pity, never miss it with the girls."
Brenda Daly posted: "Shame but be safe."
Joe O'Brien added: "How will we cope?"
Sabina Cahill wasn't as put off, she said: "Maybe people will get to celebrate Christmas like it should be all happy and healthy!! We don't need any commercial stuff to celebrate Christmas."
