Three lucky Nottinghamshire neighbours have been gifted an early Christmas present after their postcode was drawn on the People's Postcode Lottery.
The residents, of Park Street in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, each became £1,000 richer when their NG17 8DY postcode was selected in the daily draw on Tuesday (December 22).
It means each of the three residents netted the windfall just three days before Christmas Day itself.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson sent his well-wishes to the winners.
He said: "It’s an amazing surprise to receive at this time of year, congratulations to our winners in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.
"I’m sure they’ll enjoy spending the cash and treat themselves to something special."
A minimum of 32 percent of ticket sales goes directly to charities. Players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
This draw was promoted by the NSPCC, which has received more than £5.2 million in funding thanks to the players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

Many good causes close to the winners have also benefited from players’ support, and local charities can apply for funding next year.
