For people working in development, spending Christmas at home with family and loved ones is a bit of a luxury. But really, there’s nothing like an international holiday to make you feel further from the comforts of home than ever. So how are you planning to create a festive feeling? Will you go the whole hog (or turkey) and create a DIY-version of your favourite parts of the season? Do you stick to your own family traditions, or is your Yuletide a medley of cultural traditions from your international colleagues? Or do you just carry on as normal?

We’d like to hear from development workers all over the world. How are you celebrating Christmas this year? Or are you not bothering? You can share your photos by clicking on the blue ‘Contribute’ button on this article. You can also use the GuardianWitness smartphone app or the new Guardian app and search for ‘GuardianWitness assignments’ – and if you add it to the homepage – you can keep up with all our assignments. We will use the most interesting contributions in our reporting.
