Liverpool Ice Festival has confirmed it will be making its much anticipated return to the city.
The festival will be based at Liverpool Pier Head, George's Parade, with Liverpool's iconic waterfront as a backdrop.
It will offer visitors a covered ice rink - keeping the winter weather at bay - and handy skate aids can be reserved online to provide children with a helping hand on the ice.

The popular real ice slide - the UK’s only ice jet ride, which includes three speedy 30m runs, 6m above the park - will also be back in action. Those keen to enjoy the slide will have bonus views of the entire festival and beyond.
There's also family funfair rides, extreme rides and a separate children's zone. The giant Christmas roller coaster will be back in action as well as plenty more rides on offer for thrill seekers, plus a multitude of games.
Rides start from £2 per person and there's no need to book rides in advance - simply decide on the day and purchase the amount of ride tokens you require.
A host of stalls and attractions will also be on show for people to peruse at their leisure.
Mulled wine, hot chocolate and plenty of stronger beverages will be on offer at the festival's Alpine Bar, as well as hearty food to refuel.
