In most cases, it is the weekend slots which get booked up first for any event, with the Saturdays and Sundays in December selling out quickly. Below, we have rounded-up all the events that you can book now for this Christmas.

For events where tickets are not yet available we have included a link where you can be the first to know when they're released.

Polar Express Train Ride

Families can enjoy a festive ride on The Polar Express this Christmas. This popular event is returning to the UK this festive season across a number of locations.

You can start your journey at Froghall Station on the Churnet Valley Railway in Staffordshire, which is around one hour 30 minutes drive from Liverpool.

The immersive family-oriented experience takes you on a round-trip journey to the North Pole. Led by a cast of talented actors and set to the film soundtrack, passengers will relive the magic of the classic story. Children big and small are taken on The Polar Express for a one-hour trip to meet Santa.

Chester Zoo

Chester Zoo has revealed plans for a new light trail that will be their "biggest and brightest" winter event ever.

The zoo is partnering with music heavyweights Sony Music / RGL and Culture Creative to bring a brand new light trail with never before seen installations throughout November and December.

Named Lanterns and Light, it will include a 15m-long 3D mammoth hologram, illuminated dolphins emerging from waterways, a walkway of gigantic pea-lit animals and an impressive fire garden.

Farmer Christmas at Farmer Ted's

Farmer Ted's is back for 2023 and this year will include a Christmas storytime everyday with one of Santa's helpers.

This will be an interactive storytime experience where your little ones can join in and feel the magic of Christmas through one or two Christmas tales.

Before storytime, though, you will begin their experience at the animal barn, you'll then walk through Santa's winter wonderland and see where elves make all the toys and where Santa sleeps.

You can book tickets here.

Knowsley Safari Park

Knowsley Safari Park's Christmas light experience is back for 2023.

The park is promising to once again transform into an Illuminated wonderland. Exact dates and ticket sales are yet to be released but you can keep checking here for the latest updates.

It will run from November 17 - December 23 with all tickets allocated by staggered trail start times and digital or printed tickets are accepted. Food, drink and fairground rides are available onsite. Food and drink can be found at the beginning and end of the trail, with additional refreshments at around the midway point.
