Christine McGuinness says she picked herself up after feeling 'weak and broken'

Christine McGuinness has talked openly about how she's built herself up after feeling 'weak and broken.'

The former Real Housewives of Cheshire star spoke out on her Instagram about a three year transformation after 'bad times.'

She reassured fans "I picked myself up good" as she shared videos of herself working out in the gym.

Model Christine, the wife of Top Gear host Paddy McGuinness, said that three years on she feels 'strong' - and is not finished yet.

The mother-of-three posted to mark International Women's Day, saying women should remember to celebrate themselves, and she was hailed as an inspiration.

She said: "Watch to the end to see my three year glow up.

"The first video I felt weak and broken (bad times)

"But it’s ok, I picked myself up good, fast forward 3 years, I feel strong and built (peach emoji) and I’m not finished yet."

She continued with a quote: "Once you’ve rebuilt yourself, it’s a lot harder for someone to break you down."

And told her fans to 'shine bright' while offering a message of support.

She added: "Shine bright queens.

"However you feel comfortable in your own skin ladies I praise you because each and everybody is normal, different and beautiful.

"We all have our own battles and our own stories (I’ve got a library full) but let’s continue to praise each other and support one another and be sure to love and praise yourself too."

One follower cheered: "Go girlie, you’ve got this.

"Your girls will grow into strong women, because of you and the women before them!

"Things are sent to test us, but we will rise."

Another told her: "Truly Inspirational! What a queen."

"Inspiring!! Thank you for sharing," said another.

Proud parents Christine and Paddy have three children together - seven-year-old twins Penelope and Leo and daughter Felicity, four.

The couple recently made fans laugh by sharing a hilarious video on Instagram showing them greeting each other with a rude finger gesture as they pulled up next to each other in their cars.

In the video Paddy was singing along to Mark Morrison's Return Of The Mack, and his face lit up when he saw Christine approaching.

At first he waved, but as she stopped alongside him the pair exchanged the middle finger while laughing and smiling at their in-joke.

Christine has become the first mum ever to front a campaign for Ann Summers lingerie.

Last year she was supported after being told that she laughs too much.

She wrote: "Recently someone told me that the way I laugh so much could make people feel uncomfortable, my natural reaction was of course to laugh."

And she told her fans: "I think laughter is a wonderful thing, maybe they need more of it."
