Christine McGuinness 'proud' of her Halewood council estate roots as she plans 'dream' home

Christine McGuinness has shared her pride at growing up on a council estate in Halewood.

The former Miss Liverpool shared a selfie to her Instagram page of her and husband Paddy McGuinness on the building site of their home, which they are renovating.

The mother-of-three said they were "building the dream" but added she "proudly" grew up on a council estate.

Christine and her comedian husband are currently renovating their home in Cheshire.

Captioning the photograph of the beaming couple, Christine said: "I am proudly from a council estate (Halewood, Liverpool) the dream home is simply a warm house filled with children and laughter.

"So renovating our house in Cheshire, creating a safe, comfortable home suitable for our children is a blessing I am incredibly grateful for it’s more than a dream.

"I can’t wait to get my babies settled here."

The photo has been liked more than 11,000 times so far, with hundreds of comments from well-wishers.

Fan Julie said: "Love it one council house to another [I'm] from Huyton I love this girl she doesn't forget where she comes from a true scouser".

Lou commented: "From 1 council estate scouser to another I wish u all the luck in the world and I hope u, paddy and ur babies are happy and content. Ur an amazing mum Christine".

Kelly said: "Oh wow what an incredible inspiration you are".

Others commented that they were proud of Christine and her dedication to her children.

32-year-old Christine and her actor husband have been married since 2011.

Their three children have been diagnosed with autism and Christine is an advocate Autism Spectrum Disorder.
